These changes are associated with runs of homozygosity (ROH), but not with common variant homozygosity, suggesting that genetic variants associated with inbreeding depression are predominantly rare. The effect on fertility is striking: FROH equivalent to the offspring of first cousins is associated with a 55% decrease [95% CI 44–66%] in the odds of having children. Finally, the effects of FROH are confirmed within full-sibling pairs, where the variation in FROH is independent of all environmental confounding.]]> Wed 26 Oct 2022 20:06:39 AEDT ]]> Genetic analysis of over 1 million people identifies 535 new loci associated with blood pressure traits https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44073 Wed 22 Mar 2023 15:46:47 AEDT ]]> A Multi-Layer Functional Genomic Analysis to Understand Noncoding Genetic Variation in Lipids https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:50411 Tue 25 Jul 2023 17:30:33 AEST ]]> Multi-phenotype analyses of hemostatic traits with cardiovascular events reveal novel genetic associations https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:46991 Tue 04 Apr 2023 19:29:34 AEST ]]> The power of genetic diversity in genome-wide association studies of lipids https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48599 Tue 04 Apr 2023 19:22:25 AEST ]]> Study of 300,486 individuals identifies 148 independent genetic loci influencing general cognitive function https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:41379 Tue 04 Apr 2023 19:08:51 AEST ]]> Genome-wide analysis in over 1 million individuals of European ancestry yields improved polygenic risk scores for blood pressure traits https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:55383 Fri 24 May 2024 10:35:40 AEST ]]> Implicating genes, pleiotropy, and sexual dimorphism at blood lipid loci through multi-ancestry meta-analysis https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:53055 Fri 17 Nov 2023 11:47:02 AEDT ]]> Research priorities to address the global burden of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the next decade https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48458 Fri 17 Mar 2023 12:07:53 AEDT ]]>
